I stand by my answer. What is that agent going to do differently? Run more print ads for her own house? (Which is ineffective anyway.)Take nicer photos? Have more open houses? (In NY, not terribly effective.) The agent will want to accomplish both selling her listing and selling her home. She disclosed it to the seller. If the seller has discomfort with this, the seller should voice those concerns and let the agent address them.

Again, buyers agents will show their clients ALL properties that meet their criteria. I have shown homes to buyers that were owned by the agent. It doesn't matter. If the buyer doesn't like it at the price listed, it doesn't get sold. Bottom line. - Mon Nov 23 2009, 10:39
