I have google earth some of the properties on this site and the photos that are showing for the address does not match could this be a honest mistake?

I am not sure how often Google Earth updates their satelite images; however, I found that quite often they are sometime months old. I have developed a couple new residential communities and after we completed the community I tried to check them out on Google Earth... when I pulled up the satelite image it was still showing a large tract of dirt nearly 4 months after it was complete.
