The answer, unequivocally, is it depends. The question is similar to 'Is that car a good deal at $50,000?' It depends on the car. If a new S650 then, yes, absolutely; but for a Prelude, no. The developer at Avignon is a first class guy and he priced the lots near the overhead lines with substantial discounts, likely making yours a good deal. I don't know which builder you are going with, but they are all excellent.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I am soon to be one of them. My name is Scott Schaefer and I am Managing Partner of Lexington Luxury Builders. Although I have not built in Avignon Phase One, I have purchased ten (10) lots in Phase Two. And I feel pretty good about it. In fact, I'm about to start construction on a home in Avignon for myself and my family. It's a fantastic neighborhood with great schools in an excellent location.
