When I decided to sell my house, I interviewed many agents, but Sarah Jackson stood out because she is NOT PUSHY. This seems to be a fairly rare quality, but I thought that, if I didn't like the pushy hard-sell, other people wouldn't, either.
I never had any doubt that Sarah was fully focused on selling my house. I spoke with someone else who was trying to sell a house. He said that his agent had required a long contract, and then sat on the listing, kept promising to hold an Open House but never did, and pretty much ignored the fact that he needed the house sold NOW. I couldn't believe it, but I found out that this type of experience is fairly common. In the first week and a half, Sarah, on the other hand, had FIVE Open Houses.
As a first-time seller, I was constantly second-guessing whether I was doing it correctly, or whether there was something else that I should have been doing instead. Sarah carefully explained her strategy so that I understood what she was doing and why. Whenever I asked her to do something differently for me, she did, making nice color brochures and tweaking the language of the listing when I thought of something I wanted to add. I asked her to advertise my house in local papers, and she did. Even though that didn't bring in the buyer, it made ME feel better that we had tried everything.
The result? A cash offer within 3 weeks. When the buyers initially made a lowball offer, Sarah's negotiating skills saved the day and I sold the house for a good price. It's less than a month after the house was listed for sale, and its new owners are already moved in. Yesss!
Of course this is not to say that all houses will be sold for cash in record time, but mine was. Even if it had taken a more normal amount of time, I think that I'd still be writing a glowing review. If you have to sell a house, it's so much more pleasant to be able to work with someone who's trustworthy, nice, and competent. I always felt that I could ask Sarah any questions that I had, and she responded, usually immediately. She always had time for me.
I'm not even going to list the many ways in which Sarah went beyond the call of duty, because then she'd have a million new clients all expecting her to do the same things for them, but I'll always be grateful to her. I don't even want to think about what it would have been like to prepare for an international move in 10 days without her there.
So? My only problem was that Sarah sold my house so fast that I was shocked.
I would definitely recommend working with her, and if she's too busy, ask her for a referral.
