“Love Where You Live!”
I know first hand what it means to move, both great distances and small. I was born in London, England and raised in India where I spent the first 10 years of my life. My parents were medical missionaries in northern India in the town of Ludhiana.
“My childhood was filled with adventure and beauty!”
After moving to Portland in 1970, I attended Oregon Episcopal School and then Lewis & Clark College for a year as a French and Music Major, performing with the Portland Youth Philharmonic (formerly the Portland Junior Symphony). Looking for a larger college I moved to Seattle and received a Major in Natural Science with a minor in Elementary Education from the University of Washington.
Returning to Portland, I taught in every grade from Kindergarten to 12th grade for almost 20 years, either as a classroom teacher, a T.A.G. (talented and gifted) teacher, a substitute teacher, or a private tutor! As a former teacher, I understand the importance of patience, perseverance, and strong listening and communication skills when helping clients transition into a new living situation. Having taught in both private and public schools in the area, I am very familiar with the different programs that schools provide to the communities that they serve.
“I believe that most schools are a reflection of the values of the community.”
I currently live in West Linn with my husband Charlie, where we have raised three responsible kids. They each continue to give back to the community that has given so much to them.
“I believe that “loving where you live” is all about giving and also receiving!”
I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the strong sense of community that exists in so many neighborhoods in the Portland area, and I especially enjoy assisting my clients in finding a place to call “home”.
