Right now it’s a vacation home but, in a few years, we plan to spend long summers there. You listened to what we said, and you never wasted our time—which is at a real premium when you have to drive nearly 400 miles round trip every time you want to go house-hunting. Even when you thought you had found the right place, you didn’t try to push us past our price limit. You asked if we would consider a higher-priced home first. Most important, you found a house that satisfied every point on our list—and then some. The homeowners were like-minded folks, who had kept the home in perfect condition. The house included all the furnishings, even dishes and pots and pans. That saved us months of shopping and hauling stuff up the mountain. We walked in and started to enjoy the place immediately. It is as good as if it had been custom-built for us. You also helped us stay the course when the closing date had to be juggled, and when we weren’t sure the deal would even go through. When the home inspector found a drainage problem that the homeowners were not aware of, the homeowners stepped up and made improvements that exceeded the minimum, although for some weeks, we had concerns that the problem might be a deal-breaker. We respect your good, honest communication in the face of uncertainty. You never tried to “smooth talk” the situation, and you always had your facts straight when you talked to us. We were 200 miles away, and we found that we could rely on you to be our representative with integrity and professionalism. A challenging real estate market can separate the good real estate agents from the rest of the pack. We are very appreciative of the high quality of service we received from you and your agency.
