Testimonials
"We decided to use Steve as our agent based upon a recommendation. We put our house on the market at the worst possible time. It was about 2 weeks prior to the big financial and real estate crash last fall. Steve was a great agent. He is very hardworking, honest, and knowledgeable. He also is just a great guy to work with. He helped us through some pretty difficult negotiations. Heather really complements the expertise that Steve has. Heather brings expertise in marketing, web design, and interior staging which enabled us to present our house in the best possible light on many different online and printed media. As a result, all of our open houses were well attended and our website really gave us great exposure. We even had an offer from someone from Colorado who saw our website and made it the first stop on their house-hunting trip. We sold our house while others in the neighborhood were still not getting much action. I think having the team of Steve and Heather is a primary reason that we were successful. They get our highest recommendation."

"Steve Ostrom is great to work with! We have worked with many realtors over the years and he is one of the top two on our list. He is very knowledgeable and professional - he knows his stuff. He and Heather did a great job of marketing the house; both on the web and with open houses. They also gave us great advice on "staging" the property so it would have both curb appeal and show well inside. He was there every step of the way, right through closing on the property. We have other properties and we will definitely use him again in the future!! We will recommend him to anyone we know who needs to buy or sell a home."

"Steve and Heather Ostrom were wonderful to work with. My rental property was in need of a face lift and some TLC when I decided to put it on the market. Heather helped me figure out what needed to be done to make the house marketable without spending an arm and a leg. Then she worked her majic on the photos and flyer. Additionally, both Steve and Heather helped with little things to make the house more presentable - like putting in a light fixture and putting hoses away. Steve was awesome in getting traffic through the house and making sure that each offer was thoroughly reviewed with me - helping me each step of the way. Since my deal included a 1031 exchange, Steve also had to be mindful of my tax consequences to each item in escrow. Ultimately my property sold in about 3 months - not bad considering a tough market. Thanks to their efforts, I'll be able to obtain another rental property closer to my residence. Thank you to Steve and Heather!"

"Steve Ostrom is a good friend of mine. I knew Steve was working with Coldwell Banker as a Real Estate Professional so I had my father speak with him about selling his home. I am a top producer working with Coldwell Banker out of the area. Over the last eight years I have experienced all the good and bad that comes within the business. I knew that my father was in good hands the minute I put them in contact with each other. My father is extremely dilligant and most descretionary. Throughout this transaction, my father would call to tell me what great communication Steve was doing and what an aggressive agent he was. He raved at Steve's professionallism and dilligent efforts. In a market that is downturned, Steve was honest, sensitive to my father's needs and offered services beyond comparrison. Upon the closing of the smooth transaction, Steve even called with follow up. Steve never quits working and seems to always have the energy it takes to close the deal. Steve has wonderful character, charm and charisma, qualities that only benefit the clients he works with. Hats off to a wonderful job...and that is coming from an agent who knows."

"Great Realtor: As a first time homebuyer my wife and I were a little nervous about all the details involved in purchasing a home. Steve was great to work with because he helped us through our anxieties and made the whole process simple and easy to understand. He also took the time to really understand the type of house we were looking for. When a new listing came up that fit our criteria he was either on the phone to us letting us know or he was checking out the house himself to see if it was really a good fit for us. When we finally found the right home and got the keys, I think Steve was just as excited as we were. For any first time homebuyer we highly recommend Steve Ostrom. Josiah & Kari have since relocated and moved to a beautiful home in Rocklin!"

"I recommend Steve to everyone I know.: Steve helped us sell our house within the first week it was on the market. He had great ideas on how to make it show better. We also used Steve as our realtor when we purchased our current home. He was very patient, and made our home buying experience enjoyable. I typically don't write these reviews, nor do I normally want to intrude on other people's business. However, Steve was great person to work with, and if you are looking for a dependable, trustworthy realtor, I'd recommend you call him."

"Steve will found you a home you love: I have bought three homes through Steve and he has always been like a business partner never pushing me to buy but wanting me to make informed choices. He is always friendly, personable and thorough. He is always within reach by phone. I recommend him whole heartedly and will use him again in the future."

"You're Good To Go If You Choose Steve-O: My husband and I chose Steve Ostrom as our realtor for the purchase of our first home. As first time home buyers we naturally had a lot of questions and were a little nervous about buying our first property. Luckily we had Steve with us every step of the way! Steve was always available via e-mail, cell phone or in person when we needed him. He worked around our busy schedules and was able to meet us anytime we needed on the weekends to show us properties. He was even present with us at the signing with our title company. My favorite thing about Steve was how organized he was; at our first appointment he presented us with a booklet he prepared on the area we were searching for a home, with several properties he was going to show us that day. Besides being an incredibly professional realtor, Steve also became a friend of ours through all the meetings that we had. My husband and I plan to keep in contact with Steve Ostrom and we will be using him in the future for our real estate ventures for sure! I highly recommend Steve Ostrom!"

Steve Ostrom answered:
You can google the agent's name, check for online reviews and then you should meet them and interview the agent and others to decipher if you are a good fit. You can also ask them about their production (home sales) this year and in recent years ... and do they have the time to commit to you right now for the area you are targeting?

Another thing I often hear about when getting interviewed is discovering if your communication styles mesh ... (text, email, phone, IM) ... it sounds ridiculous, but good communication of needs goes both ways to maximize your relationship with your agent and honing in on your next home.

Good luck and hopefully it is a great fit!

Like Sue stated ... an agent that is involved with other agents really does make a difference. - Sat Jun 20 2009, 09:23

Both areas are amazing. Sports is a big deal in this area. Soccer can almost be called the mother sport of the area. But with all the new sports facilities, both or either owned by the city or private are amazing.
I bet your daughter is happy is any area. Parks O' Plenty (even great dog parks)!

From city of Roseville website: "Roseville has one of the highest ratios of parklands to population, 9 acres per 1,000 residents (compared to 3-5 acres per 1,000 in other cities)."

In East Roseville, you have Maidu Park to take a nice stroll and amazing park space with many different facilities and also a library (plus baseball diamonds, skate park, etc):

Some nice places to consider in and around a few of Rosevillle's golf courses with varying sized lots, builders and age ...
http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&q=95661&oe=UTF-8&i…

THere are of course many other great areas not captured here. Each new development is different with lot sizes and distance between neighbors, but many of the satellite views show a few of the older more developed areas to consider amongst many.

All the areas have their own sense of flavor and are at different stages of maturity as far as trees and landscaping (as Tyson referenced). Many newer homes in West and North Roseville.

Rocklin has it's own great areas too ... even an area with a holiday lane where the entire neighborhood busts out their cartoon character on nearly every yard. There are older parts, newer parts and some with incredible greenbelt views. Plus older and established areas near golf courses.

Here is a nice visual ... Pacific St represents, what can be referenced as Downtown Rocklin ...
