I grew up and went to school in Valley Falls, Kansas. I attended Kaw Area Vocational Technical School during high school and took Technical Drafting there. I joined the Air Force in 1972 and served there for four years. After leaving the Air Force I worked at the U.S. Postal Service for a year and a half before transferring to the Department of Defense. I spent 33 years working for the Department of Defense at Forbes Field in Topeka. I retired from there in September of 2011. That marked the beginning of working only 1 job in over 30 years!
I started selling real estate in 2000.
I love the outdoors! I take long daily walks with my three dogs, work in my yard and garden and try to take vacations to places where I can hike and explore.
I worked as a volunteer firefighter and EMT at Valley Falls, Silver Lake and Hoyt.
I was a part of the safety team at Heartland Park Topeka for 20 years and worked with the NHRA's Safety Safari for several years as well.
I support a number of wildlife welfare organizations and especially love wolves due to a past relationship with a white wolf named Duchess. You never really own a wolf!
