After a successful career in college recruiting with Electronic Data Systems/General Motors (EDS/GM) and Ernst & Young LLP, Rod left the human resources/consulting field to enjoy his love of real estate. Rod started with the purchase of VA foreclosure properties in Virginia for rehab and sale. Through realtor connections, he accepted an offer as a charter employee for a new general brokerage real estate company, affiliate of local builder/developer, Eakin/Youngentob Associates.
During his 5 year tenure, he had the opportunity to work in various sales capacities with buyers/sellers as well as investors. He became known for his bus tours which focused on new condo developments in DC and Virginia. After receiving his broker licensing, he served as managing broker which involved hiring, training, and managing new sales associates. Before joining the ranks of Coldwell Banker, he last served as principal broker for Urban Pace, builder sales and marketing company.
In his personal life, Rod enjoys a consistent bodybuilding regimen and focuses on a proper diet and strength training program. He also loves to travel as often as time allows and has traveled to 43 states and several foreign countries. Additionally, he lived and studied overseas in Sevilla, Spain.
