I joined the team of Century 21 Cape Associates in October of 2008. Prior to embarking on my new career I was a member of the Massachusetts State Police. in July of 2008 with approximately 32 years of service I decided to move on. Being a State Police Officer is a young mans game. My experience with the Department included patrol, station command of Martha's Vineyard and South Yarmouth facilities, internal affairs investigator, aid to the Colonel, operations officer, emergency planning officer for the department. I oversaw the Presidential vacation security for President Clinton while in command of the Martha's Vineyard Barracks. I was returned to the island to act as the operations officer during the tragic recovery process that resulted from John F. Kennedy Jr.'s aircraft crash. In the early 80's I obtained my real estate license and since that time have been involved in the buying and selling of real estate in New Hampshire, the Greater Boston area, Cape Cod and on Martha's Vineyard. I remain a partner in the Wesley Hotel, a 95 room hotel located at the head of the Oak Bluffs Harbor on Martha's Vineyard. I have had the property listed for sale and with an acceptable offer on the table do anticipate closing the deal early 2010. I now reside in North Falmouth with my wife of 31 years, Pat Laurendeau - Kelley .I have the good fortune to be blessed with two wonderful children, Shamus age 27 and Shelagh age 20. My first year working in the real estate industry has been exciting and all that I had hoped it would be. The energy, integrity and commitment of service that was my trademark while a member of the Massachusetts State Police has carried over to my new profession and I have found my clients to be most appreciative.
