In 2001, at the age of 21 years old, while working on my degree in Real Estate I was eager to become a licensed REALTOR and begin my professional career. I have always enjoyed interacting with people in business and social environments so I knew that this career would be well-suited for my personality type. Enjoying what I do makes coming to work every day and serving the West Metro Board very rewarding.
Technology is one of the most important parts. Mobile smart phones, I-pad, Property Boss Solutions-my professional property management software that does the work of at least 2 employees, owner portals, tenant portals, payment portals, ACH bank portals, Google Apps, data feeds for marketing. I also redesigned my company’s website to make it more interactive.
Leasing & Management
In 2008 started Duffey Leasing & Management with Curtis North to offer an alternative to upside-down homeowners instead of short sale or foreclosure. After utilizing our management services, these homeowners will be able to list their homes for sale with us when market conditions improve. Our full-service management company has been able to attract both local and international investors because they don’t have to worry with everyday aspects of owning rental properties. As of today we currently manage over 525 units and employ 6 people.
We also manage a 70 home subdivision that is leased to mostly University of West Georgia students.
In June of 2012 we were awarded a contract to manage Commercial Assets for the FDIC. Most of which are vacant bank buildings some of which are shopping centers.
I teach free ( actually I usually bring breakfast or lunch) to Real Estate Boards or offices to share my knowledge of smart phone and tablet technology to other real estate professionals. I pick up a lot of referrals this way.
