Hi Tammy - I think the north side just above Woodstock/Canton area. This area is along the I575 corridor and has easy access into Atlanta and other areas and still near good schools and shopping. I lived up that way myself and was very pleased. I would begin my search with Homes in Canton, GA; Homes in Woodstock, GA., Homes in Cherokee County, GA;

You could also look in the Cumming and Dawsonville area which is up the 400 corridor. All of these areas have access to Atlanta and also the lakes and mountains. I think you will love it.

Any realtor can set you up on "Client Gateway" , a system offered by our FMLS and it will automatically send you listings as they come on the market.

Do you mean the bank's real estate agent that they are in listing agreement with? If so contact the Listing Agent's broker to get straight answers on why you cannot get the earnest money. The listing is with the Broker, not the agent. Did you sign a Termination and Release agreement? I presume the contract allowed for the bank to hold the money, but the broker should be able to give you the proper process for refund of earnest money if at all possible. If not possible, then they will give you direction on how to obtain arbitration/counsel. Good Luck! - Tue Dec 16 2008, 08:08

Mitch - Bill Eckler in Sarasota is correct! You need everything going for you also. I own in Longboat Key - which is the area off Sarasota where Bill markets! There are some good buys there now and they have international investors in addition to the local market. Flipping is an art! Currently the trends are to hold and lease except for few circumstances. A good realtor in thoses areas you are interest is imperative. Good Luck to you!

Hi Georgia! I am a native Georgian, but have relocated 3 times and happy to say that I am back in the Roswell/Alpharetta, GA area. I came back to this area for several reasons. It is centrally located to most business/downtown areas, great resales communities and growth, top schools/shopping and I wanted a place that my kids could feel like the were in "a town" instead of just a municipal area. I have included a couple of websites on the towns, Roswell and Alpharetta. Both are historic cities and some wel know celebrities have lived her - Shaun Hannity, Paul Newman, and so on.
