I have coined my own phrase for my business plan called “Disruption by Design”. Often the term disruption can have a negative connotation – but not in my strategy. It simply means that we have to do things a little different and be creative with my approach. A simple example of this is rather than having an open house on Sunday to have a “prebar” party on Saturday night. My seller was concerned about this approach; however, his concerns quickly eroded when he saw his downtown loft full of contacts, potential buyers and a photographer from Louisville’s Sophisticated Living magazine. Not only was his loft and guests featured in this highly read social magazine – his loft sold to one of the guests that came that night.
The general objectives of my business are to produce consistent growth in sales volume and maintain corporate citizenships through a commitment to community development. My business uses a corporate growth strategy complete with a horizontal integration concentration strategy by moving into the nearby Louisville metropolitan market in January 2009 through the use of a reciprocal license, taking my services into that geographic market and expanding the potential customer base. Additionally, a concentric diversification growth strategy has been pursued with the establishment of formal statewide Real Estate Agent Social Media Marketing & Business Management Training program. I am one of the few agents who actively work, network, market and sell in Southern Indiana and Kentucky. In 2009 my commission was 70% Southern Indiana and 30% Kentucky.
My business contains a strong brand image and holds brand equity as a result. I work with an experience marketing team that has significantly expanded and grown my brand recognition. Additionally, the business has established a strong reputation for straight-forward, immediate, and quality client service as a resource.
Also as simple as it sounds – I always answer my phone. And if I do miss a call, I return voice mails within an hour. This market is competitive and buyers and sellers want to be able to reach their agent almost 24/7. It’s a simple business rule, but I constantly get comments from my clients that they appreciate this level of service.
