Earnest money??

Pamela Valdes answered:
Ask the builder to issue the check to the real estate attorney so that it can be held in escrow. Any attorney whether it is his or yours so long as it is in escrow. To say, "Do not move forward" may not be a good idea ... to totally not move forward may put you in breach of contract ... in that case you will lose your money. Better to discuss your concerns with the builder and reach an agreement to move the funds to one of the attorneys. - Fri Aug 8, 2008
