I listed and sold two units in that community. We did not have a problem. I would recommend on any purchase to have the unit inspected for Chinese Drywall. I would be happy to help if your not already working with an agent.

Hello,
They can be paid off yearly with the tax bill. The agent your working with would be able to pull up and see what the amount yearly the seller was paying and the balance. Also be sure to find out if the house has been already been hooked up. Some homes I have run into have water and sewer in but not hooked up to the house. Those homes could have a fine with the city from not hooking up.

Hello Irene,
Obviously your question has been answered, it is the entire duplex being offered for sale. Yes an offer has been placed on the property, and it is a short sale. Since you are an agent I am sure you have dealt with them in your day to day business. I have been very lucky and placed back ups on quite a few short sales and in everyone the 1st in line walked away and my buyer got the home. There have been a few that the listing agent would not take a back up, so we moved on. If you have the time to wait and can be unemotional on the purchase don't be afraid to pursue short sales with offers. If your not already working with an agent I would be happy to help you, and provide a referral.

Hi Tammy,
A listing agent can withhold if the seller has instructed them not to accept anything except as is. Farbar has both the as is and regular contract. There is a Far contract that many do not like to accept because of the legal wording. With an as is you do get to inspect and can cancel for any reason within your inspection period. If you utilize the other the seller will be responsible for an agreed percentage of the sales price for functional repairs.
