By now you should have received a clear to close if your roof inspection was satisfactory. Roof inspections are the least of the issues that can come up during the final stages of a loan funding. Do you have a real estate attorney assisting you with the purchase? I have always advised new or previous buyers that the $300-$500 in attorneys fees is well worth the hassles it can help you avoid. Having a competent attorney present even before the contract is signed can keep the wolves in check.
