What happens with taxes if you buy a house aas a short sale. For example, there are homes in ann arbor/ypsi

It depends some municipalities will lower but not to a 5000.00 mark. Other townships won't lower at all.
I wish I could be more specific but I have had clients try to get lowered in some and it didn't work, whereas in others it did.

But, the assessors take into consideration all the homes in an area, so if you are in a subdivision they will look at those. - Tue Jun 23 2009, 07:11

Why are so many condos listed in Pittsfield Village? Is this a safe area?

Actually Pittsfield Village is a co-op and so they stay on the market a little longer.

Great location, never heard a bad word about it.

Very affordable but they don't appreciate much even in a good market. Some are more fixed up than others with new kitchens, baths. Some owners have refinished the hardwood floors.
