Good advice from everyone...speaking with a lender and assessing your financial status is certainly the first step. After that you can search on your own for homes through any of a number of web sites. And as for the latter part of your question, the outlook for moving into Everett is probably better than anywhere, ( financially speaking), other than perhaps Marysville. their are many homes in downtown Everett with fireplaces and hardwood floors near the 200k price point....best of luck with your recovery....Mike
