One of the reasons I chose this EXIT was the possibility to earn residual, retirement, and income for my loved ones...based on production of agents that I recruit.

Working here has been my springboard towards recovery. As I participate in more and more transactions, my stability as a productive Realtor has again taken shape.

My wife, Delia & I decided to start our own, ma & pa brokerage. We had an office downtown, in a shared suite with one of our top clients, a Tax Certificate Buyer. Being downtown had certain advantages, and it was there that I learned and began purchasing properties along with clients and partners at Judicial & Sheriff Sales.
Our clients listed parcels of land and development sites, and misc residential & commercial properties with me. I used public records to locate owners of vacant sites and helped form transactions where everyone benefited, and my clients accumulated greater fortunes as a result of my service.
In 2002, when we had a storefront office in Roscoe Village, we caught the mortgage bug, and became mortgage brokers. Our staff grew to 11 licensees and support staff. During 7 Summers, we hosted Chinese college interns through Hong Kong Baptist University's Metropolitan Attachment Program. Some of our staff went on to start their own brokerage firms.
For a number of years we donated 10% of our gross revenues to charities. Our most memorable donation, built a well, providing safe drinking water for a small town in Mexico.
Many of our clients came back, again and again. It was a great time to have both real estate and loan originator licenses and we prospered...until the bubble burst.

One of the larger Chicago firms, at the time, at their Wicker Park branch office. Residential, commercial, and vacant land transactions with buyer & seller representation. In 1994 & 1995, I was awarded Listing Agent of the year...thanks to my Clients. Thanks to the firm for showing me what it was like to work with a Nationally known, name brand organization. In my last 2 years here, I was awarded membership in Coldwell Banker's International Diamond Society of the top 15% of Realtors worldwide. As HUD Brokers, I attended several of their live auction events, and with clients and partners, we flipped lots of rehab deals.

Novice real estate rookie, learned the business from an old school street smart independent broker/investor. I chose George Haldes as my first sponsoring broker because he brokered and invested in properties himself. From a distance, I have observed his personal fortunes come and go and come back again. (Thanks for the opportunities that we co-created)
During my last year here, I became an REO Agent for a community bank who listed a foreclosed condo development with me located on the same block as our former office. I was blessed to have my first taste of success...as a member of the former "North Side Real Estate Board".
My first closing, I represented the Buyer, and watched the seller write a 5k check to get rid of his house...if only he had known about Short Sales.
