The home is going to be sold to a buyer. They may or may not be interested in having a tenant depending on if they are an investor or plan on living there personally. Contact the listing agent and let them know your intentions. The listing agent could put you in touch with the buyer's agent and buyer. Depending on how far along in the process they are, you could maybe even save the homeowner from having to short sale by getting your rental income to assist in mortgage payments. The listing agent will probably not like that option, however, but you can try.
