I started my real estate career after I spent a career in ministering to high school students through a minitry called Young Life. I met my wife when we were volunteering as leaders in Young Life. We married in 1994 and have three boys (Jacob, Michael, Ryan). We live in Ashburn. We go to church at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg.
My real estate career has been a whirlwind. I got into the business in '04 when the market was blistering. So I have worked in the strongest and weakest market since coming on board with Long & Foster in Reston. I do love real estate. It is a very rewarding life. It keeps me on my toes and trusting the Lord every month. Unlike real jobs where you get paid every month, I only get paid when I sell a house. So obviously it takes a unique personality to want to be a Realtor.
I recently joined Stoneleigh Golf Club out in Round Hill, VA. I love to play golf! Mainly because you can play it in to your old age. Unlike other sports where I had to hang it up in my late 30's, golf will continue on for decades.
I am a local boy. I went to Oakton High School Class of '87. I Graduated from George Mason in '93 after transferring from a Christian College (where many credits didn't transfer :) of course). I will most likely spend the rest of my life in NOVA unless the Lord calls me elsewhere.
So that's me in a nutshell. I love my wife, my kids, my country, my job. It really is a great life in the midst of occasional pain and cloudyness. If you don't know the Lord personally, I'd be happy to talk to you about that even if you don't want to buy a home. :)
