Prior to joining Keller Williams Realty, I owned a Newsstand/convenience store, Mumford News, in downtown Hartford. I was employed at that location from 1992 to 1997, when it was called the Extra Extra News. From 1997 to 2007 I was the owner and manager and the store was renamed Mumford News. Downtown Hartford’s fast paced environment that gave me an opportunity to think quickly and handle difficult situations, sharpened my skills in negotiation and my ability to multitask. My more than 17 years of experience in budgeting, sales, management and marketing were helpful to increase the sales 50% each of the first three years and have an inventory turnover of 32 times per year. At its peak, Mumford News sold over $1 million (gross) in lottery tickets in 2000.
But my calling was always in Real Estate. I enjoy helping people to achieve immediate and long-term goals. To motivate people and assist them planning their future as home owners. My experience as former business owner allowed me to grow outstanding skills in customer service and use resources efficiently to produce results quickly.
I Completed the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors Principles and Practices Real Estate course and joined Keller Williams Realty because of their positive, energetic atmosphere and their commitment to agents, clients, and the community. With Keller Williams Realty the customer gets not just a realtor but a whole team assisting to buy or sell the property.
Other things about me: I was born and raised in Hartford and reside in West Hartford. I have two sisters and two brothers and I’m part of our parents’ two consecutive sets of twins! I also have three nieces and one nephew. My favorite pet is our cat Kata, rescued from a farm along with her mother and siblings. Each one was placed in a safe home by my mother’s fellow worker from the Department of Corrections. I also enjoy hiking, landscape and wildlife photography.
