Real estate is in Mark's blood. Both his grandfather and his mother passed down a love of the profession, inspiring him to become a third-generation Real Estate Broker. Mark is one of six children in his family and has lived in the DC Metro area most of his life. Having sold hundreds of area homes and ranked consistently among the top 2% of Realtors in the nation in annual sales volume, Mark is among the most experienced Real Estate Professionals in metropolitan area. As Principal Broker, Mark oversees the operations at Urban Brokers and supports and leads the firm's sales associates. Mark holds a Principal Broker license in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Mark was previously a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and a customer relationship management consultant for Roundarch, Inc. Having supported both government and corporate clients, Mark was quickly able to transition to serving the needs of his real estate clientele ranging from first-time home buyers to experienced investors. With his degree in International Business from James Madison University and through years of experience as a consultant and Real Estate Broker, Mark has developed a keen sense of business skills that allow him to successfully market homes for sale and negotiate sales contracts regardless of the complexities involved. Mark actively invests in real estate himself. Having owned, bought, and sold both residential and commercial investment properties, Mark has in-depth knowledge of landlord-tenant law in addition to experience with Starker 1031 tax-deferred real estate exchanges. When not at work, Mark enjoys runs through Rock Creek Park, swimming with the local United States Swimming Master's team, and riding his bike. Outside or work, you'll typically find Mark along the vibrant U Street Corridor where he now calls home. Mark also enjoys international travel. In addition to long stays in Europe and Asia, Mark has traveled extensively in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish.
