Lucas Lechuga answered:
The "Dream Team" will most definitely have an impact on Downtown Miami. In fact, it already has in several ways. Commercial real estate around the arena has seen a big uptick in sales and leasing since July. Marina Blue, which is located across the street from the American Airlines Arena, saw a big chunk of its commercial space purchased soon after LeBron signed with the Heat. Between Marina Blue and 900 Biscayne Bay, I know of 4 restaurants that have plans to open within the next year. There's going to be a lot of foot traffic as a result of the games so it makes sense that real estate inventory and prices will be impacted. - Sun Oct 10, 2010
