As the LISTING agent, you want your customer's property to receive the most showings. By keeping the commission offered to the SELLING agents in the MLS comparable with offerings in the area, you assure a level playing field. You can't control the other people, but you CAN control how you present the property, and compensation is part of that! Get it? Simple.
