I actually LIVE in Kempsville and know an old timer who insists on talking about Thomas' Corner (Kempsville Rd?) and Davis' Corner (Newtown Road) on Virginia Beach Blvd, and how Greenwich is prounounced GREEN'-which, so I love stories about old names and places!
Yeah, recently I was driving clients past Butts Road Elementary and they were laughing their heads (butts?) off...(uh, which HAPPENS to be on Mount Pleasant Road, go figure...)
