A new member of the Frank Howard Allen family, Kevin brings decades of construction experience and extensive knowledge of efficient, green building techniques together for unique insight into Marin county homes.
For the past twelve years he has honed his skills in business, negotiations and client service in his General Contracting business.
As a long-time certified Green Building Professional®, Kevin has focused on energy efficiency and water conservation, providing his clients with healthy, cost saving homes. His work has been published in Architectural Digest, Time Magazine, the Sundance Channel, HGTV, Dwell, and Fine Homebuilding. A full size replica of the Glidehouse®, a home he co-designed and built, was on display for a year in the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
As an EcoBroker®, Kevin brings his vast knowledge of smart, efficient, and cost saving homes to bear for his clients, both buyers and sellers.
Originally from the east coast, Kevin attended high school in Lima, Peru and studied at Algonquin College. In the mid 80's, he started his career as a builder. Throughout the 80's and 90's, he operated businesses in Toronto, Canada, and Maui, Hawaii, before discovering the alluring beauty of Marin County in 1999.
For the last eight years he has volunteered at Bridge the Gap Tutoring, a tutoring program catering to some of the less privileged kids in Marin City.
Kevin lives in the original Glidehouse® he built with his wife, Michelle Kaufmann, and their two dogs.
