My name is Kathy Stankard and I am a licensed REALTOR in Massachusetts. I currently work as both a buyer and seller agent of residential real estate with RE/MAX Executive Realty in Franklin, MA.
Franklin, Massachusetts is a suburb of Boston and is actually about a 45 minute drive, without traffic, from the heart of the city of Boston. Franklin is also close to both Providence, Rhode Island–30 minutes’ drive and Worcester, MA–45 minutes’ drive.
I am a licensed REALTOR, license #9017020, in Massachusetts and am a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. I have been a Realtor since 1996 serving this metro west of Boston area.
I have been living in the west of Boston community of Franklin, MA since 1984 with my husband and 3 children. I transitioned to real estate from the Counseling field in 1996. I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling. I love meeting new people and assisting in both listings and sales. My counseling background has provided me with listening skills for handling various real estate situations. I have an extensive list of repeat and referral business who have made me their Realtor for Life.

Heather--The elementary school your child will attend depends on your street address. The Franklin town website has a list of streets which are divided into school districts. Hope that helps...

Your best bet is to get them on the market immediately because serious buyers have started looking in the last few weeks. Your price must reflect that the properties need work and buyers will be attracted to your reasonable price. Do not wait because you may miss out on all the serious buyers who can get lower interest rates now. - Tue Feb 10 2009, 07:33
Erica--I have been a successful Franklin, MA agent since 1995 and would like to speak with you about these sellers. Please let me know how I can be helpful to them at this time. The market is picking up again in this area and it is a good time to sell whereas the winter may not be as promising as the latest Farmer's Almanac is predicting an exceptionally cold winter! Thanks.

The Franklin school system is very good and shows statistics that 98% go on to college from high school, 1% go directly to work and the last 1% enter the military or other endeavor. The taxes have remained consistently low and the home values are strong. The town is so desirable to raise a family that it was noted as one of top 10 towns in the country by Family Circle magazine. Follow this link for the article:

Also Money Magazine separately chose Franklin, MA as one of its top 10 of 100 towns in the country to "live and launch". If you Google the words Franklin, MA you will find a wealth of articles. My website: franklinmahomes.com is also very helpful regarding resources.
