Interests: I have been selling homes since 1988. Los Angeles history and its unique mix of older character homes and architectural properties holds a continuing fascination for me. A high concentration of these homes are found in the neighborhoods of Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Hollywood Hills, Glendale and the northeast communities of Eagle Rock and Mt. Washington.
My path to real estate evolved from my schooling at the California College of Arts and Crafts (now California College of the Arts) in Oakland where I received a BFA in Interior Architecture. During the 1980s I worked primarily in design. This included a residential design practice, the marketing of architectural services for a large corporate design firm and supervision of contractors on a 600-unit condominium conversion.
I find that my design experience is a great tool for sellers as they prepare their homes for sale. In most instances, the absolute best price in the market can be achieved with paint, carpet, Lighting, staging and refreshed landscaping.
My background also includes a BA in English from Boston University and many years of administrative work at law firms in both San Francisco and Los Angeles. The net results have been good writing skills, an understanding of contracts and legalese and an attention to detail. These tools are an asset to clients who often get lost in the maze of paperwork required in today´s real estate transactions.
It is very important to me that both buyer and seller conclude a sale with the confidence that all terms of the contract have been fulfilled. Even if the transaction requires some fine-tuning after the close, I am there to make it happen.
