I think the answer to your question should be a qualified Yes. Yes, there are other master planned communities in San Diego. What about Santa Luz do you like? Is it the location? If that's the case than you might find something in Del Sur or maybe 4S Ranch. Are you looking for a larger home on a larger lot? Poway and its many custom home subdivisions might be to your liking. If it's the amenities of the community clubhouse, pool, etc. and location is not an issue, you might head south to some of the beautiful communities in the South Bay - Eastlake, Rolling Hills Ranch, and San Miguel Ranch come to mind.
