Dear Traci:

Good question. Hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving.

Relocation in Phoenix metro area is good because of the services, hospital, dining, entertainment as opposed to other areas in the state. Phoenix has the sports teams, art galleries of Scottsdale and generally more things to do.

Now for the cooler temperatures in the Summer? Payson and Showlow, Prescott, Sedona and Cottonwood all have dinging and medical but not to the same extent of Phoenix and Tucson. They are all in the mountains at 4,000 + elevation, nice in the Summer but cool to cold in the winter. However, all only 2 hours or less away from car from the Phoenix metro area.

If price is an issue the Phoenix metro has newer homes in Queen Creek and San Tan Valley and on the west side Buckeye and Surprise, where you can buy a home for less than $80,000 in a planned community. Although 35 miles from Phoenix, still close to the freeways, hospitals, shopping etc. The closer in to Phoenix the prices go up.

Scottsdale, of course is wonderful! More expensive, but great quality of life, safe, and many hospital and retirement facilities. Parks, restaurants, art galleries, shopping abound. I specialize in Scottsdale. Right next to Scottsdale is North East Phoenix where homes are available in your less than $200,000 price range around the Paradise Valley Mall area.

Remember, the $6,500 existing homeowner tax credit when buying another home was approved a few weeks ago. Also, the State of Arizona has free grant money if you buy a bank owned property, for up to 22% of the purchase price if you live in the home for 15 years. Grant money is also available if you live in the home for 5 or 10 yeasrs.

Know it must be getting cold in Nebraska. Until you get here take a look at some Arizona sunsets from my website link: http://www.arizonahomesland.com/arizonasunsets.html

If I can answer any questions or send you an email with properties to look at, or show you around or get one of our agents in another city to show you around, just ask.

Regards, Jeff
