The best answer is to call Cal-Vet directly...see if there is anything they are willing to do or can do! If not, there are non-profit organizations willing to help you in these difficult times. I am working with a couple clients to help them resolve the same issue...and there is no set answer to your question. Will they help? Do I let it go into foreclosure? Can I ride out this storm? Will they accept a short-sale if I have to bale? Will they modify my loan? To begin, go to the source and then find someone willing to assist you or consult you...find out the facts directly from the lender and make plans from there!
