There are many programs out there, but lenders and counties associated with them don't know how to apply the money.
The NSP Grant or Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant is one of them. To date I know very few lenders who can close this loan because it requires the lender to front the grant money and then get reimbursed. Most buyers, lenders, and Realtors I know would rather bang their head on a brick wall for 2 days than to work through one of these deals. The approval and completion of these loans are slim to none.
The 203K loan is the easiest option. Wells Fargo has a streamlined rehab loan in partnership with Home Depot & Lowes.
If you want some more info. just drop me a line and I will connect you with my Wells Fargo Rep. - Wed Jul 1 2009, 19:20
It's not required by law. It may be required by the lender. - Wed Jul 1 2009, 08:21
I think it depends on what chapter you filed. Your home may not have been included with your bankruptcy to begin with.
You have been making your payments and your home has not been foreclosed on so I don't think there should be any issues.
Sounds like you need to speak with your bankruptcy attorney. My wife as an attorney but she does not practice bankruptcy she has good friends that do. If you need a referral I could get you some contacts. - Sun Jun 28 2009, 10:19

Merideth,
There is not a way to specifically search for HUD homes by acreage.
We list homes for HUD and enter our listings in the MLS. The property information such as lot size can be determined from the tax records. - Sun Jun 28 2009, 10:10
