Termite Treatment-Who should pay?

Joseph Tsomik answered:
While it's probably nor worth backing out of a deal for the house you want because of a $600-$800 termite treatment, typically the seller is the one responsible for delivering the house fre off termites. You may be getting the raw end of the deal as far as this is concerned, but if you love the house, then don't let this be a barrier, pay for it yourself, and get the proper treatment.

Keep in mind, some banks may need a termite certificate in order to give you a mortgage, so you may have to put up the money for the treatment prior to closing. - Tue Dec 8 2009, 20:03

Yes, this home is a part of an association and has an association fee of $75 per month which only includes garbage and snow removal. You can definitely take out the pool and change whatever you like on the property itself. As far as outside appearance of the home, we would have to inquire about this further to check if the association has any rules at all regarding that. If you are interested in viewing this home, or would like to see other homes for sale in Staten Island matching your home search criteria, feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.
