Barbara Irvin answered:
Whether you are a investor, first time home buyer, looking for that 2nd or vacation home by the beach, there is something for you here in Myrtle Beach. It all depends on what you want to spend. Are you looking for you looking for a look time or short time investment? There are a lot of great oceanfront condos for sale but the HOA/POA fees are high and most likely you will not be able to cover your costs by renting the unit out. In the long run an oceanfront condo will bring you the best return but that will not be for many years. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for 21 years and watch that area grow from 250,000 to 2 million. I think that Myrtle Beach has so much to offer and we are the last of the affordable coastal communities along the east coast. Waterfront properties will always bring in the most amount of money. We all just have to be patient for a while and we will watch the value of our properties increase. Just not as fast as we had seen in the past. We also have a lot of condos on golf courses. So, not only are we attractive to the beach go-ers but also to the golfers. These units usually have much lowers HOA's and are only minutes to the beach. I would be happy to forward some great listings to you. You can reach me at 843-267-9232 or check out my website at http://www.MyrttleBeachHomes4U.net. Have a great day! - Wed Oct 7 2009, 05:55
