I was licensed in Florida in 1981 to sell real estate. In July of 1993 I made a decision to specialize as a “Buyer Broker.” Just because an agent has the NAR designation ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) does not mean they are a "genuine" or exclusive buyer broker. The initials “GRI” stand for “Graduate of the Realtor Institute.” Only 9% of all REALTORS® nationwide hold this special designation. The initials “TRC” stand for “Transnational Referral Certification” and represent completion of the course which prepares real estate professionals to make and receive referrals using the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA). The CIPS stands for Certified International Property Specialist, currently there are only about 2,000 real estate agents globally who hold this REALTOR® designation.
As your buyer broker, I provide the professional negotiating expertise to assist you in obtaining your desired property for the best price and terms. I never get “confused” or “change sides.” All my loyalty is committed to the buyer throughout the transaction. It is illegal in the State of Florida for a real estate broker to give full representation to the buyer and the seller at the same time. Only a genuine buyer broker can legally negotiate for a lower price for the buyer. Working with a true buyer broker guarantees you full representation so there is never a conflict of interest between the buyer and the seller in your real estate transaction.
In February 1998, I opened my own company, Howe… to buy real estate, inc., a successful exclusive buyer broker firm. Anticipating future changes in the real estate industry in 2001, I registered the trade name Florida Buyer Broker to Howe… to buy real estate, inc.
