Linda, I have personally lived in Lamplighter for 13 years and yes there is definitely train noise. It is a great neighborhood because we have wide streets, beautiful park and great neighbors and it is a small community. The train is most noticeable in the summer, however you do get used to it. The train horns are not as frequent because we are in the new "Quiet Zone". This train noise can be heard in several surrounding neighborhoods so if you are interested in living in Arvada, might I suggest you look south of 64th and West of Ward Rd.
