Commissions are indeed as flexible as home prices. When the home price goes down, the commission goes down exactly the same percentage. Commissions could not be more flexible. The price the seller would like to get has nothing to do with the cost of selling the property.
When a seller asks us for a reduction in commission we always give one-if the seller reduces the list price a like percentage. After all, if we have to put our services on sale, the seller should put his house on sale as well. - Tue Sep 1 2009, 08:14
