Jeff--If you plan to stay a while, I'd recommend considering a remodel if you can afford to do so. Really, it all depends on your budget. I'd also recommend having a contractor inspection with one of the local San Francisco companies, and perhaps a termite inspection. You can then get a sense for any major issues with the property about which you should be aware. - Sun Nov 22 2009, 16:06
