"To Whom It May Concern: In 2007 a friend of mine referred me to a friend of his, Debbie Shelton, a realtor and told me to call her. He stated if there was any possible way to buy a home she would find it. I just knew there was no way I could buy a house but figured it wouldn’t hurt to talk to her. I called and introduced myself and gave a rundown of my finances (which were pretty shaky). Debbie was very reassuring and just knew I would be able to buy a house. She outlined the steps I needed to take to make it happen, one of them being to contact NACOG for qualification to obtain down payment assistance. At this point I was still absolutely certain I would never be able to buy a house. Over the next 18 months I improved my credit as Debbie advised by paying down/off my credit cards as well as putting every possible penny away which had amazingly accumulated during this time. She kept in regular contact with me to check up on my progress and continually encouraged me. It was when I ran my yearly credit report and discovered that I had somehow managed to break the 700 mark that I immediately called Debbie to share the good news. I was very excited. She gave me clear instructions what the next steps were which I followed to the letter. Debbie would email possible properties and for a while I just looked at them on the internet but would not go see them. Debbie, thank God, is a very patient person, but eventually told me I would have to actually go in the houses if I was ever going to buy one. I took the plunge and we started really looking. We looked at nearly 20 houses and once again Debbie was very patient with me and understood what a huge step this was for me. Then one morning she called me and said she had found the perfect house for me but we would need to move extremely fast. It was a bank-owned home and she was absolutely right-it was perfect for me and the price was right. There were several other people with their realtors who arrived while we were there. It is only because I had followed every instruction given me by Debbie that we were able to submit the offer first and be the best offer received. "To Whom It May Concern; Energetic, hard working and punctual! These are just some of the attributes that come to mind when we think of Debbie Shelton. Last year, my husband and I were looking for a piece of property in the Flagstaff area. Through the internet we found Debbie. Within 48 hours, she found the perfect piece of property that met our needs, negotiated a decent price and had escrow started. Debbie goes way beyond the call of duty of "REal-estate Agent". With big problems in the sale of our commercial property, Debbie helped in completing our escrow with our Buyers, dealing with language barriers, Buyers out of the country, missing paperwork and also helped our Buyers Real Estate Agent. These are just a few of the problems Debbie tackled successfully. Debbie also ahd a large part in helping our Flagstaff Seller with her new home purchase.
