Being a real estate professional in the area my voice may come across as biased but I assure you it is not. Valdosta compared to the rest of the nation did not see dramatic price appreciation and has maintained steady, progressive growth. Current home prices in the area I am glad to say will not be going down anytime soon, but if you plan on waiting it out you may just see the opposite, an increase in home prices. Valdosta is a great community, and does boast much industry and schools- Valdosta State University, Georgia Military College, and ValTech. It has thriving downtown, wonderful neighborhoods, and a hip social scene. Truly now is the time to buy.
