I am huge on buyers educating themselves on the process to purchase to a home, whether you’ve own a home or not. We offer a free educational home buying workshop every month and free consultation. It is important for buyers to understand the current market trends. So, I believe it’s best to speak to a real estate agent first and get an understanding of what the home buying process is.
Real Estate Agents can refer a loan officer to you...which brings me to the next step of getting pre-approved. A loan officer will gather financial and credit information from the home buyer to see if or what they qualify for. Be certain to inform the loan officer if you are a veteran, in an union, etc...because you may qualify for a loan with better benefits. Between the real estate agent and loan officer, you will be guided appropriately through the process.
My suggestion is to work with a buyer’s agent versus the sellers agent. I think this is one mistake buyers make when purchasing...both will guide you through the process, but a buyers agent is vested in only you whereas the listing agent will have an invested interested in both parties and sometimes it can be difficult to do.
If you are still interested in purchasing...I work with my mother, Rosemary Brooks as the Mother & Daughter Realty Team and would be more than happy to assist you and your family. - Yesterday at 8:57am
