This could be that the bank is in the processing of listing the home for sale but does own the property. The banks have to go in and inspect the property and see if there are any major repairs needed and most times will hire a preservation company to maintain the property before it is listed on the market. This property may be listed shortly depending on the situation. Have a great day.
