In early 1996 a visit to Colorado full of adventures, fantastic people, and gorgeous scenery, I knew I had found my new home. Originally from Minnesota, I earned my B.S. Degrees in Real Estate, Finance & Insurance with a Minor in Accounting from Minnesota State University Mankato. My education was just the beginning of a life-long career in the Real Estate profession.
During my first few years in Colorado, I lived in Breckenridge where I owned and operated a home-improvement retail store working with both homeowner’s and builder’s implementing recreational upgrades into their construction projects. In 2001, with my desire for a deeper involvement in real estate and wanting to live in Denver, I expanded my education and knowledge by earning my Certified Residential Appraisal License.
While living in Denver conducting appraisals full-time, I was chosen to help my firm expand their offices to meet the overwhelming demand of the real estate market in other parts of the country. The first office I opened was in Phoenix, AZ in 2002, then an office in Las Vegas, NV in 2003. In 2004 I was promoted to Regional Manager and opened three more offices in Southern California overseeing a staff of over 30 people.
In the spring of 2010, with the experience of over 6000 appraisals involving the analysis of property, I again expanded my knowledge earning both my Real Estate Broker Associate License and my Mortgage Loan Officer License. As a real estate agent, I began with Keller Williams and am now with Cherry Creek Properties, LLC. I’m also a member of the Realtor® trade organization promoting a higher standard of ethics and conduct in the real estate business.
Working with a variety of people, of all ages and income brackets, is one of the reasons I love this career. With over a decade of experience in various realms of the real estate business, I’ve found the most rewards have come from assisting people and their families find their own place to call “home” or helping them sell their current home so they can move forward in their lives. Accomplishing this comes with hard work, integrity, attention to detail, and the assurance the process will be made as smooth as possible.
