Carmen Di Biase answered:
Hopeful One,

When a bank buys back a property at the auction it usually takes a few months for it to go on the market. Find a buyers agent who can track the listing for you and notify you went it comes on the market. Asset managers (the person at the bank who handles the REO) do not deal directly with the public. Be patient and get your finances in order, including a mortgage preapproval that may have to be updated periodically. You will be ready, willing, and able to act when the house comes on the market. - Tue Dec 1 2009, 14:06
