The answer to your question really depends on the parcel size of the land you are talking about. A small parcel, let's just say under 10 acres, is going to sell for more per acre than a larger parcel of 20 acres or more. That being said, there is a good bit of land on the market right now for around $5,000 per acre. If you have the opportunity to buy a couple of acres of high and dry land for less than $5,000 per acre, consider it a pretty good deal.
