Good morning, Tyrone!
Some of us are social networking and blogging for our businesses. I personally am on many social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Activerain (blogging), Naymz, etc. and 2 personal websites along with a website with Positive Real Estate Professionals.
Not only am I on these sites, but also numerous other real estate professionals that I network with. Because of my exposure on the internet, I have gotten to know many in the real estate business that I can send referrals to if I have someone relocating and in turn they refer to me if it is in the Lehigh Valley area in Pennsylvania.
I do know of agents that are afraid of social networking only because they have no idea how to go about it. At my office, I help those agents out and also teach a class once a month to increase their knowledge about social media and blogging. Those that I have helped are starting to grasp the idea.
So all in all, most agents are either unaware about social networking and their benefits or just have no clue about how to do it.
