A native to California, Steve has lived in numerous communities through out Southern California, including Paso Robles, Atascadero, Santa Maria, Oxnard, Huntington Beach, San Diego and Big Bear Lake. Steve spent 10 years in Santa Maria and graduated from Santa Maria High in 1979. One year after graduation he married his wife, Shelli. Steve and Shelli have 4 beautiful daughters, Christine, Stephanie, Michelle, and Jennifer. All four were raised here in beautiful Big Bear Lake. Shelli and Steve have owned Shelli's Hallmark Shop here in Big Bear since 1990. Steve's hobbies include mountain biking, water skiing, snow skiing, snow shoeing, and hiking. Steve has participated in charity cycling events including the peak to peak on two occasions (a ride from Big Bear to Mammoth Mountain). In fall of 2004 Steve rode the San Juan Mountains from Telluride, Co. to Moab, Ut. Steve can often be found on a bike on the top of a mountain. Steve says he's excited about the Real Estate market here in Big Bear, and investment opportunities are abundant. Big Bear is Southern California's four season resort.

The properties that you are seeing listed as pre foreclosure are not yet assigned a price or listing. The values shown have been posted based upon debt etc. The best thing for you to do would be to make direct contact with a local Realtor and have them keep you posted as to the status of these as they become available. - Fri Jun 12 2009, 16:47

After you have a signed contract by the seller and the buyer you are in escrow in the state of California. The residential purchase agreement is also the joint escrow instructions. I think you might be referring to the opening of an escrow at the company, and that usually happens once the escrow company is selected. Lately with bank owned properties, that can sometime take a few days for the selection. The escrow company will want the good faith deposit to be deposited to the escrow within 3 days usually. - Tue Jan 20 2009, 09:15

In addition to Tyler's response, I would add:
The seller may have negotiated a better mortgage payment with the bank and decided to keep the home. Currently many home owners are getting their mortgages adjusted through their lender to meet their ability to pay. - Tue Apr 7 2009, 19:23
