Gainesville in particular is a very nice area. If you are concerned about crime or other factors concerning the area, you can do research online. A good place to start is http://mris.rdesk.com/communityinfo/CommunityReports.aspx? You can put in the information such as the zipcode and obtain information on population, people, maps, demographic, employment, schools, enviroment, quality of life, and more. I think it's going to be hard for any one Realtor to tell you whether there are "a lot" of racist people within a zipcode. If there is something you are looking for, I would do research. Unfortunately, there are racist people everywhere...but I have sold to people out of state who ended up buying in Gainesville and they have been very happy there.
