Unfortunately, as others have noted below, there is little you can do. When you (or your agent) wrote up your offer, you would have included the CAR Short Sale Addendum form and this effectively allows either party to cancel the agreement after the Short Sale contingency date.
As you have found, Short Sales are very different to "Regular" sales and while they can result in a buyer getting a great deal, it is very common for them to fall apart for a variety of reasons. You really do need to move on and find another home.
